Director – Claims and Risk Manager

Ed’s experience in handling and managing liability insurance and reinsurance claims goes back to 1988. He has worked for leading insurers and reinsurers at a senior level. He has extensive international claims management experience in the Lloyds and London market and also sits on the Fellowship Assessment Board of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Paul Finn LLB

Claims Manager

Paul was formerly a Partner and head of the personal injury and clinical negligence litigation departments in a legal 500 law firm for almost two decades. He has vast experience in handling and managing high value and complex litigation cases, including road traffic, employers’ and public liability, medical negligence, catastrophic  injury and fatalities. Paul is also a Technical Author for the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and writes technical articles, updates and editorial content specifically for U.K. lawyers and insurers.

David Miles ACII, FCILA

Liability and Property Claims

David has over 40 years in  claims handling, with particular expertise in liability [casualty] claims.

He is the primary adjuster for equestrian liability matters.

David holds accreditation through his membership ACII, FCILA.

For many years he was the majority owner of his own loss adjusting company .

David Porter

Manager of Developments

David studied at the University of Glasgow, from which he holds a Master of Arts degree. He has advised underwriters, brokers and MGAs. Among senior roles, he was Compliance Director of a major international Reinsurance Broker and worked as a Relationship Manager in the Wholesale Firms Division of the Financial Conduct Authority.

Ruth has had a varied and interesting career including a stint in the Royal Air Force and time spent in retail, but the bulk of her experience is as an Executive Assistant for Global Heads in the City and Chicago. Ruth is a methodical and efficient worker who loves a challenge!

Douglas MacDougall

BA (Hons) Adv Dip CILA Dip CII

Douglas initially handled let property claims at MYI/McLarens, before gaining experience in cradle-to-grave handling of a diverse portfolio of Commercial Property and Business Interruption losses. He is also experienced in the handling of a broad range of contract works claims and undertakes liability investigations alongside The Quest Partnership team.

Douglas is part of the Major and Complex Loss team and has been extensively involved in various multi million pound Fire and Flood claims whilst handing his own portfolio of losses up to £1m.
